Ava Marie Cantrell

Mrs. Ava Marie Cantrell, age 93, longtime resident of Chickasaw, AL passed away at a local hospital on Thursday, December 15, 2016, surrounded by her loving family. She is preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Carl Cantrell, father, Elwood Ernest McCrory and mother, Corine McLain McCrory and brother Randall McCrory. Mrs. Cantrell was a lifelong member of the Chickasaw First Baptist Church. She was a devoted wife and loving mother who cared greatly for her family. She is survived by her two sons, Robert E. Cantrell (Shirley) of Kushla, AL and Carl W. Cantrell, Jr. of Spanish Fort, AL. She is also survived by her devoted friend Retha Taylor , sisters; Vinona Glaze, Marion Van Etten , other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held at Radney Funeral Home, Saraland, AL on Monday, December 19, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home chapel at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Mobile Memorial Gardens. Serving as pallbearers will be Lee Glaze, Jeff Van Etten, Richard Glaze, Chris Glaze and Benjamin Glaze. Condolences may be offered at www.radneyfh-saraland.com.
