

Barbara Joyce Few Love, 83, of Satsuma, Alabama passed away February 11, 2018. Barbara was born April 5, 1934, in Clarke County, Alabama and attended Clarke County School in Grove Hill, Alabama. In the summer of 1951, the family moved to Eight Mile, Mobile County, where Barbara attended Vigor High School and was in the first graduating class of 1952. She worked at Brookley Air Field in Mobile before relocating to Johnson City, Tennessee, where she worked at the Mountain Home Veterans Hospital for seventeen years. She transferred to Washington D.C., where she worked for sixteen years in the auditing department of the Veteran’s Administration. She and her husband, Dr. Robert Love Jr., moved to Pensacola, Florida, where he was director of the new Veteran’s Administration Clinic. After retiring, the couple moved to Mobile, Alabama. Barbara is preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Robert Love, Jr.; her father and mother, Irving G. and Dellie Wiggins Few; brothers, Elvin G. Few and Melvin C. Few. She is survived by sisters Earline F. McKinley of Satsuma and Rachel (Larry) F. Keen of Slidell, Louisiana; three step-children: Robert (Stephanie) Love III, Curry Maria Habel, and Rebecca Ann (Jason) Owens; and 8 step-grandchildren. She is also survived by her nephew and niece, James Keith McKinley and Judy McKinley Tapia. Visitation for Barbara will occur Wednesday, February 14, 2018, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at Radney Funeral Home, Saraland. The funeral service will be held Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. A private interment will follow the service.
