

Bessie Mae Turner – a 92 year-old native and resident of Mobile passed away at an area nursing facility on Tuesday, May 15, 2012. She was an active member of Victory Assembly of God Church where she was the longtime pianist. Her family was the center of her life. Mrs. Turner was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence I. Turner; parents, Ottie Leon Cochran and Marie Cochran; brothers, Leon Cochran and O.J. Cochran; and sister, Essie Busby. She is survived by her children, Ira L. Turner (Sharal), Clarence E. Turner (Charlotte), and Vicki Lombard; grandchildren, Maria Lombard Farooq (Omer), Ira L. Turner, Jr. (Angie), Angela Peacock (Stan), and Michelle Chancey; sisters, Jessie Turner and Shirley Ambrose; brother, Earl Cochran; four great-grandchildren; 3 great, great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home in Saraland on Friday, May 18, 2012, at 10 a.m. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until the service hour.
