Betty F McDavid

Betty Grace Fieldness McDavid, age 100, of Saraland, Alabama, died at home July 15, 2013 after a brief illness.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry E. McDavid, her father, Hilmar Fieldness, mother, Mattie Fagerstrom, and step-father, John Fagerstrom. She is survived by one sister, Rosemary Fieldness Bunzel, four children, Rev. Neil McDavid(Minta), Harriett Myers(Tommy), Joanne Myers, and Paula Matthews, eight grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, nephew Leonard Fagerstrom(Kay) niece Darlene Moss(George), among many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

The service of Celebration of life will be held at Saraland United Methodist Church at 11:30 am on Thursday, July 18, 2013. Preceding the service, the interment will be held at Mobile Memorial Gardens at 9:30am. The family will receive friends at Radney Funeral Home in Saraland, Wednesday, July 17, from 5pm - 8pm.

We never heard our mother say an un-kind word about anyone and she always greeted people with her radiant smile. She welcomed everyone into her sweet presence accepting them as they were. She was a grace-filled woman, living life true to her name, Betty "
