Beverly Jo Clarke Raines

Beverly was known for her compassionate, loving and caring spirit. She treasured spending time with her family, grandchildren & friends. She was a long-time member of Redemption Church and loved her Sunday School Class. She enjoyed spending the summers at the bay with her family and cousins. She was very dedicated to the Special Needs community.

She was a Nurse Aide at Providence Hospital and retired from Mobile County Public School System (Regional School for Deaf and Blind). She was involved with the Alabama Institute for the Deaf and Blind (AIDB).

She was preceded in death by her parents, William Clarke and Hazel Clarke, along with her brothers, John Clarke and Bernard Clarke.

Survivors include her loving husband of 67 years, Edward E. Raines; sons, William “Bill” Raines of Chickasaw, Alabama and David (Toni) Raines of Chickasaw, Alabama; daughters, Leigh (Gary) Stephens of Saraland, Alabama and Denise Raines of Chickasaw, Alabama; sister, Mary (Leonard) McGahey of Saraland, Alabama; grandchildren, Mark Newbill, Shanna (Devin) Lolley, Amber (Brent) Miller, Ava Raines, Charles David Raines; great-grandchildren, Bentley and Sailor Lolley and Ryleigh and Blakely Miller; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

A visitation for Beverly will be held Saturday March 1, 2025, from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at Radney Funeral Home, 1200 Industrial Pkwy, Saraland, AL 36571. Funeral services will be held from the funeral home chapel at 1:00 pm. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Condolences may be offered at www.radneyfuneralhome-saraland.com.
