Mr. Turner served his country honorably in the Alabama National Guard. He worked for over 25 years with Colonial Bakery as an engineer and with Smith Bakery for over 15 years. He was a longtime faithful member of St. Andrews Chapel and was instrumental in administration of the beginning of the church.
Billy is survived by his wife, Fran Turner and son, Timothy Turner. He is also survived by his brother Sam Turner and wife Sharon of Dothan, AL and sister, Judy Young and her husband Harry of Elba, AL. He is preceded in death by his parents Obiel and Jewel Allen Turner and son, Brian Keith Turner.
A visitation for Billy will be held Thursday, August 20, 2020 from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at St. Andrews Chapel, 2354 Dead Lake Rd., Creola, AL 36525, followed by a funeral service beginning at 3:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Creola Cemetery.
