Mr. Whitley was a World War II veteran.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Nancy Hill. He leaves behind his loving wife of 36 years, Sarah Cummings Whitley to cherish his memories. He is also survived by his son, James Whitley of Saraland; loving daughters, Rhonda Humbarger of Semmes, Brenda (Jerry) Brackins of Semmes and Susie Saucier of Saraland; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held from Shelton Beach Road Baptist Church on Friday, January 20, 2012, at 10:00 a.m. The family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the church. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
