Born August 10th, 1959 in Wilmington, NC and died May 26th, 2020 in Mobile, AL
Clifford died suddenly and unexpectedly after a short illness brought on by diabetes. He had fought cancer for 6 years.
Clifford loved Jesus and his momma and he had a heart for those less fortunate, especially the elderly. He spent many days taking care of his momma in her last years until her death in 2005. He never met a stranger. Although he never had any children of his own, he was a much loved uncle to his nieces and nephews. He was a hard worker and retired from Gulf States Ready Mix, where he truly loved his job and made some life long friends.
In his spare time, Clifford enjoyed hunting and fishing. He had a kind spirit and was a very loving son, brother, uncle and friend to all and will be dearly missed.
He was preceded in death by his loving mother, Florine Jones Whitehead, his father, Clifford Alex Pitts, his loving stepfather, Arzo Marson Whitehead, and a nephew, Tom Eddie Meeks.
His memory will forever be treasured by his siblings, Mary Joyce McCool of Warner Robins, GA, Michael Meeks Sr. (Deborah) of Eight Mile, AL, Marvin Jerome Meeks (Wendy) of Warner Robins GA, Terri Patrick of Gadsden, AL, Arnold Pitts (Patti) of Wilmington, NC and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 1, 2020 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm service time at Radney Funeral Home, Saraland, AL., Funeral Service will be held in the chapel of Radney Funeral Home, with Pastor Nathan Glenn officiating. Interment will follow in Valhalla Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Semmes, AL.
