Dana Leigh Gurley, born on November 25, 1969 passed away on September 1, 2025 in her hometown of Mobile, Alabama. She is preceded in death by her beloved son Brandon Ramey and father Garry "Buck" Gurley.
Dana was a proud resident of Semmes, Alabama and spent her life rooted in the small town that shaped her. During her high school days at Mary G. Montgomery High School, she was a spirited cheerleader, bringing energy and enthusiasm to every game and event she attended. Dana had a deep affection for animals and especially lover of dogs. Her compassion for animals reflected the warmth she shared with those around her. She was a loving mother, daughter and sister.
Dana is lovingly remembered by her son Blake Heckman, mother Cora Gurley, brothers Steve (Michelle) Gurley and Scott(Merleen) Gurley. Her nieces and nephews will also lovingly remember her.
Dana was a member of Harvest Time Assembly of God in Eight Mile, Alabama.
Serving as pallbearers will be Colton Gurley, Shane Gurley, Brayden Gurley, Tommy Temple, Brantly Gurley, Blain Gurley and Wade Cochran.
Visitation will be held Friday, September 5, 2025 From 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Radney Funeral Home-Saraland, Alabama. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. David Williams officiating. Interment will follow in Dawes Cemetery, McFarland Rd., Mobile, AL.
