Danny J. McDaniel - a native of Opp, Alabama and a longtime resident of Saraland, Alabama passed away Sunday, October 19, 2014. He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Helen Maples McDaniel, and his grandson, Mason Jay McDaniel. He is survived by his daughter, Sheila (David) Pritchard; son, Michael (Kathy) McDaniel; grandchildren, Jordan Smith, Hayden Pritchard, and Megan and Logan McDaniel. He is also survived by his sister, Peggy Phillips, as well as numerous other relatives.
He will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and his favorite four-legged companion, Sophie.
Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home in Saraland on Wednesday, October 22, 2014, at 11 a.m. The family will receive friends from 9 a.m. until the service hour.
