Deborah Lynn (Jordan} Bryant, beloved wife of James Bryant, passed-away peaceably, Thursday, April 3rd 2025 surrounded by Angels which she collected all through her life. Her sweet demeaner always reminded one of that loving song by Louis Armstrong;
“What a Wonderful World” – "I see trees of green, red roses too, I see them bloom for me and you, and I think to myself What a wonderful- world.” “I see skies of blue and clouds of white… and I think to myself – What a wonderful world.”
Born to Floyd and Betty Jordan, Deborah—affectionately known as Debbie—lived a life marked by resilience and unwavering faith. She faced numerous health challenges throughout her life and despite these hardships remained steadfast in her love for the Lord and carried a sweet spirit that touched all who knew her. Debbie was truly a sweet and beautiful person; extremely brave considering the many years she suffered from debilitating illnesses.
Debbie graduated from Mary G. Montgomery High School and worked at QMS, Mobile Press Register and Mobile Infirmary... She was a long-time dedicated member of New Life Traditional Baptist Church. Mrs. Bryant passed after many years of illness but during her youth was an excellent artistic person and attended many craft shows in Stone Mountain, GA, Mobile and Baldwin counties – her stain glass was absolute perfection – one of her signature pieces was featured in “The Pillars” restaurant.
Debbie is survived by her mother; Betty Jordan of Eight Mile, AL, her sister; Denise Jordan of Jacksonville, FL, her brother; Daniel Jordan of Snellville, GA, and her two step-daughters; Brenda Bryant and Tammy Harwell of Mobile, AL. She leaves behind their spouses and children — two step-grandsons, four nieces, one nephew and great-aunt to five little-ones.
Her playful nature brought joy to family and friends alike; she was known for her endearing nicknames like "hound dog," "goofy-toofy," and "monkey," which she used to lovingly tease those closest to her.
Debbie will be truly missed by those who knew and loved her. She has gone to meet her lord and savior and now receives her heavenly reward. Her father, Floyd Jordan, who passed 13 years ago, will now welcome his daughter, whom he affectionately called “jelly belly” as a child.
Visitation for Debbie will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2025 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the New Life Traditional Baptist Church, 5010 McCrary Road, Semmes, Alabama. Funeral Service will follow at the church at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be held at Valhalla Gardens Cemetery, Eight Mile, Alabama.
