Earl was a retired Truck Driver.

He was preceded in death by his wife Mattie G. Sheets and his parents, Clarence C. and Eura Mae Condrey Sheets. He is survived by a brother, William Sheets; step-son, Gary Bownds and friend Carole Beasley of Gardendale, TX, step-daughter, Judy (Eddie) Norton of Warner, Ok; 5 step-grandchildren, Jeremy Norton, Leslie Bishop, Christopher Norton, Michelle Norton and Dustin Bownds; 16 step-great grandchildren and 3 step-great great grandchildren; dear friend, Peggy Sue Ammons.
