Essie Mae Dees Parker, 88, was born September 14, 1933 in Wilmer, Alabama to the late Ollis Dees, Sr. and Bonnie Pearl Waldon Dees. She was called to her Heavenly home on October 20, 2021 in Citronelle, Alabama.
Essie was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Thomas Jefferson Parker, Jr., one brother, Ollis “Bud” Dees, Jr., two grandsons: Roger Taylor and Shane Taylor.
Left to cherish Essie’s beloved memories will be her three children: Frances Marie Parker Miller and husband Wesley, Carl Eugene Parker and wife Kay, Donald Parker, four grandchildren: Donna Miniard and husband Charles, Roger Miller and wife Ashley, Stephanee Paige Hurst Parker, Angel Tanner and husband Gus, six great-grandchildren: Adrian Martin and wife Caitlyn, Jackson Miniard and wife Casey, Shelby Miniard, Danielle Williams and husband Michael, Damian Miller and wife Sierra, Haley Miller, seven great-great grandchildren: Olivia Martin, Lucas Martin, Madison Williams, Michael “Mike” Williams, Jr., Baylann Williams, Brentley Williams, Colton Byrd, special childhood friend, Archie Carr, along with many extended family members and numerous wonderful friends.
The family would like to extend their sincerest gratitude towards the staff of Crown Health Care of Citronelle, and the staff of Comfort Care Hospice for the professional care and compassion provided.

Celebration of Life services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, October 22, 2021, at Radney Funeral Home, 1200 Industrial Parkway, Saraland, Alabama 36571 with Bro. David Tripp officiating. Interment will immediately follow on the grounds of Palestine Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, Wilmer, Alabama.
The family will be receiving guests for visitation Friday, October 22, 2021, from 1:00 PM until time of service at 2:00 PM at Radney’s.
