Florence Vivian Porter

She was born August 10, 1922 to John "Jack" Cheeseman and Maggie Mae Newell Cheeseman. She was a housewife, mother, Nonnie, and awesome seamstress.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Emmett Porter, Sr.; son, Emmett Porter, Jr.; daughter, Anna Grace Porter; brothers, Bob, Jackie, and Asa Cheeseman; and one sister, Ella Mae Dossett.

Survivors include: daughters, Diane (Ellis) Thompson and Jean (Nevel) Andrews; daughter-in-law, Gennell Porter; grandchildren, Ellis Paul, Porter and Clyde Thompson, Dianna (Tommy) Mason, Dana (Tim) Hood, Trey (Carrie) Porter Ellis, Danyette Coggin, and Jana (Robert) Campbell; great-grandchildren, Hunter, Ashton and Travis, Shelby, Dylan, Erin, Patrick, Levi, Cody Cole, Davin Taylor, Brittany, Caitlyn and Cameron, Jami and Blakelyn; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home, Saraland, on Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at 11 A.M. The family will receive friends from 9 A.M. until 11 A.M. on Tuesday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Mauvilla Cemetery.

Mrs. Porter's family wishes to express their thanks and appreciation to the 12th floor north hospice staff at Providence Hospital, Odyessey Hospice, Donnie, Linda and Richard Grandquest for their loving care.
