

Mr. Frank Carrol Sullivan, Sr. – went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on October 26, 2010 in Macon, GA. He retired from the 2863rd GEEIA Squadron at Brookley Air Force Base. He also worked for the G.M. & O. and L & N Railroads for several years earlier in life. He was preceded in death by his parents, T.J. and Alice Sullivan; brother, Ted Sullivan; and two sisters, Alice White and Faye Mozingo. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Opal Ivey Sullivan; two sons, Frank (Connie) Sullivan, Jr. of Chickasaw, AL and Scott (Scarlett) Sullivan of Macon, GA; daughter, Tracee (John) Young of Louisville, KY; six grandsons: Tripp (Christine), Bradley, Dayne, Eli and Nolan Sullivan, and Neill Young; three granddaughters, Saige Sullivan and Cammie and Maggie Young; two great-grandchildren, Grant and Ella Claire Sullivan; and one sister, Gwenith Scarborough. As a longtime member of Chickasaw First Baptist Church he served as a deacon, Sunday School Superintendent, Benevolence Committee, and RA Leader. Many of the boys might remember him as a Dixie Youth baseball coach. Visitation will be from 12 Noon until 2 P.M. on Friday, October 29, 2010 at Radney Funeral Home, Saraland. Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. on Friday from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home, Saraland, with Brother Bob Barr officiating. His six grandsons, Richard Ferrer, and John McAleer will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be current and past deacons of Chickasaw First Baptist Church, Dr. Bergdolt, Luther Havard, and Roland Hayes. Interment will be in Pine Crest Cemetery.
