George Ronald “Ronnie” Reeves – a 59 year-old native of Greenville, AL, longtime resident of Chickasaw, and current resident of Axis passed away in Birmingham, AL on Friday, February 8, 2013. He retired from Scott Paper after 35 years of service and was a member of Shelton Beach Road Baptist Church. There are not words to truly describe how much Ronnie was loved and cherished. He loved life! He had an infectious laugh that those closest to him would recognize. He shared a once in a lifetime love with his wife of 35 years and very best friend, Toni Reeves. He loved and cherished his family and found joy in the simple things and in the greatest gift God gives us- Love. His legacy survives him through all the lives he touched, values he taught, being a husband, a daddy, a Paw, a fisherman, a little league coach, and just a really kind hearted, caring Christian man. Always smiling, lover of life, he fought til his last breath. He will never be forgotten and will always be missed. Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents, George and Ella Sue Reeves. In addition to Toni, he is survived by their children, Rachael Kidd (Kevin), Rebecca Robinson (Jason), and George R. “Ronny” Reeves, Jr.; sisters, Joyce Cook, Bobbi Sue Stewart (Gene), and Dorothy Warren (Jerome); brother, James Robert “Bubba” Reeves (Myrle); grandchildren, Daniel Kidd, Ethan Kidd, and Carter Robinson; numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
