surrounded by loved ones, quietly in his home.
Terry, fondly known as PawPaw, was born to James Willie and Helen Pendley Henson on
May 31st, 1944, in Lynn, Alabama. He was a talented athlete who attended the
University of Alabama, on a track scholarship after setting the state record time for the
mile. Terry then graduated with an education degree and returned to his alma-mater,
Gadsden high-school, as a teacher and coach. Terry and family moved to the Mobile
area in the late 80’s where he successfully ran an underground construction company
until retirement. Terry enjoyed 56 years with the woman he loved. He adored his
children and was his grandchildren’s biggest fan. He had a wealth of knowledge that he
loved to share with his customers at Fish-N-Fever and Bass Pro Shop. Terry had a
passion for both fishing and football. He enjoyed countless hours on the water with his
children and grandchildren and he never missed an Alabama football game. We all find
peace in the fact that he is on the water with The Lord decorated in crimson and white,
as we speak.
Terry is survived by his beloved wife Brenda and two children. Daughter, Sharee
Dunnam and her husband Jimmy Dunnam. Son, Terry Henson and his wife Hope
Henson. He is also survived by his five grandchildren, Justin Dunnam, and his wife
Lindsie Dunnam, Josh Dunnam, Faith Henson, Grace Henson, and Trinity Henson.
Terry is preceded by his father, James Willie Henson. His mother, Helen Pendley
Henson. His father in law, Paul McMillian. His mother in law, Anne McMillian. And his
brother in law, Jimmy McMillian.
