James “Eddie” Edward Wiggins, 72, was called to his Heavenly home on October, 7, 2022, in Mobile, Alabama. He was born in Mobile, Alabama on May 15, 1950 to the late William Arzo and Doris Claire Dickin Wiggins.
James Edward served in the U.S. Military entering as an enlisted soldier and retiring after twenty-five years of faithful service as a Chief Warrant Officer II. After the military he attended Bishop State College in Mobile, Alabama and graduated with an associates in Instrumentation and worked faithful for serval more years until retirement at the age of fifty-nine. During his years of retirement; Eddie lived doing what he loved most with the people that meant the most to him.
Eddie (as we affectionately called him) was a devoted husband to his loving wife, Linda for fifty-four years and together they raised a beautiful family with their three children. He loved to watch the ID channel during down time. Eddie would BBQ the best ribs and steaks you’d ever put in your mouth. He loved to fish, garden, and build things. Eddie loved Linda and always enjoyed spending quality time with her, family, and friends.
Eddie was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Billy Wiggins; and one sister, Claire Byrd.
Left to cherish Eddie’s memories will be his beloved wife, Linda Heathcock Wiggins; three children: Jimmy Wiggins (Melanie), Matthew Wiggins (Adrianne), Marie Clark (Donnie); six grandchildren: Zachary Rodgers, Evan Wiggins, Donovan Wiggins, Linday McLaughlin, Logan Clark, Austin Clark; along many extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.
Honoring Eddie as pallbearers will be Steve Ganious, Austin Clark, Zachary Rodgers, Chase McLaughlin, Shane Heathcock, and Jordan King.
The family will be welcoming guests for visitation on Thursday, October 13, 2022 at 10:30 AM until time of service at 11:30 AM at Radney Funeral Home, 1200 Industrial Parkway, Saraland, Alabama, 36571 with Pastor Donnie Clark officiating.
Interment will take place at 1:30 PM, Thursday, October 13, 2022 on the grounds of the Alabama State Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 34904 AL-225, Spanish Fort, Alabama 36577 (251) 625-1338.
A visitation for James will be held Thursday, October 13, 2022 from 10:30 AM until time of service at 11:30 AM at Radney Funeral Home, 1200 Industrial Pkwy, Saraland, Alabama 36571 with Pastor Donnie Clark officiating.
Interment will follow on the grounds of the Alabama State Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 34904 State Highway 225, Spanish Fort, Alabama 36527.
