Janice Thompson Williams – A resident of Saraland, AL passed away peacefully on Monday, January 2, 2012 at a local hospital after a long illness. She retired from International Paper Company and was a member of Calvary Temple Assembly of God. She was preceded in death by her son, JR Williams; mother, Nancy Elenor Saxon; father, Leroy Thompson; and sister and brother-in-law, Mildred and Hap Havard. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 42 years, Earl Williams; daughter, Trece (Ken) Bennett; grandchildren, Brandon and Bailey Bennett; sister, Juanita (Frank) Shamburger; devoted niece, Krisane Davis; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Friday, January 6, 2012, at 10 a.m. from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home in Saraland. Visitation will be Thursday from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. The family would like to say a special Thank You to all of the doctors, nurses and medical staff who have been involved in Janice’s care since her liver transplant 21 years ago.
