Sgt. Jimmie Jerald Osborne – a retired Saraland Police Officer who served his country in the US Army, passed away Saturday, August 20, 2016. He was preceded in death by his son, Jimmie J. “Jerry” Osborne II; and parents, George and Louise Osborne. He is survived by his wife, Teresa Jackson Osborne of Saraland, AL; daughter, Patti Osborne Edwards (Jerry) of West Lake, MI; two granddaughters, Kayla Blackmon McNeil (Brad) of Chickasaw, AL, and Katie Blackmon of Mobile, AL; one great granddaughter, Kassidy Mary McNeil of Chickasaw, AL; three brothers, Douglas Osborne (Sylvia) of Mobile, AL, Richard Osborne (Gloria) of Tucson, AZ, and Hubert Osborne of Houston, TX; sister-in-law, Thelma “Susie” Hartman of Semmes, AL; two nephews, Ty Hartman of Mobile, AL and Terry Hartman of St. Louis, MO; other relatives and friends.

Graveside services and interment will be held Monday, August 22, 2016 in St. Cecilia Catholic Church Cemetery with Rev. Malcolm Slater and Police Chaplain Terry Wigley officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be members of the Saraland Police Department. Honorary pallbearers are Mayor Dr. Howard Rubenstein, Saraland Police Chief J.C. West, Saraland Parks and Rec. Supervisor Freddie Spencer, Police Sgt. Steve Stafford, ret., Ty Hartman, Terry Hartman, and Marcus Gates.
