Joanne Lambert Monk

Joanne Lambert Monk, age 91, of Satsuma, Alabama, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on May 20, 2026. She was born on August 21, 1934, in Demopolis, Joanne lived a life centered on faith, family, and devotion to those she loved.

Joanne was preceded in death by her beloved husband of sixty-seven years, Pratt Monk, Jr.; her parents, Willie A. Lambert and Lena Frith Lambert; and her sister, Peggy Philen.

She is survived by her children, Pratt Monk III, Gregory A. Monk, Julie L. Monk, Kaylin Monk, and Brooklyn Monk. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Brandy L. Gervais, Christopher Monk, Erin (Justin) Thomas, Jamie Monk, and Jenny (Blake) Mayfield. Joanne is also survived by her brother, Thomas (Linda) Lambert, along with many extended family members and dear friends who will deeply miss her presence.

Joanne was a member of Generations Church, where she found joy in worship and fellowship. She will be remembered for her enduring faith, her loving heart, and the unwavering care she gave to her family throughout her life.

Her legacy of kindness, dedication, and love will continue to live on through all who knew and loved her.

Visitation for family will be 12:00-12:30 and visitation for the public will be 12:30-2:00 on Saturday, May 23, 2026 at Radney Funeral Home in Saraland, AL. Graveside service will follow at Satsuma Cemetery.
