Joel Patrick Butts

Joel was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Loretta Butts, his Beloved Daughter, Aimee Butts and his niece Callie Smith.

Joel worked 40 plus years as an Instrument and Electrical Technician. The longest with Stauffer/Syngenta Cold Creek plant in North Mobile. He loved his work and work family and made lifelong friends in his work.

Joel was and avid Alabama Fan! He loved watching Alabama Football with his son Brian and Grandson Gavin Butts. He loved all things football, High school and College. Joel graduated from Satsuma High School in 71 and enjoyed watching the Gators play. While in High School he was a high school track star and at one time held the state record for the “Mile”.

Along with football, Joel enjoyed researching his family tree, connecting with relatives and looking at old pictures of family and places he loved. Joel went to the University of South Alabama before beginning his career.

Joel was a friend to everyone who met him and always put others first. He was very giving and put people he cared about before himself, and above all he was the most loyal person you could ever meet. He was a kind and loving Husband to Denise Butts for 43 years, Father to Aimee and Brian Butts and brother to Pam Pully.

There was a Great Reunion with his Daughter Aimee in Heaven on December 8th, 2021.
