John William "Man" Maherg, Sr., 88, a native of Turnerville and resident of Satsuma, passed away Monday, May 2, 2016 at home. He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Sadie Maherg; daughters, Sharon Dunn, Susan Maherg, and Debra Bentley; and son-in-law, George Dunn. He is survived by his daughter, Lynn (Kenny) Pitts; his son, John (Paula) Maherg; grandchildren, Mike Dunn, Christy Brooks, Dana (Dustin) Webb, Jonathan Maherg, Gary (Megan) Maherg, and Tony (Michelle) Englett; great-grandchildren, Delaney, Wyatt and Addison Webb, Mikayla, Dylan, Brooklyn, Weston and Ethan Maherg; sisters, Dot Patrick and Mary Dowling; brothers, Eugene Maherg, Howard Maherg, Malcom Maherg and Tommy Maherg; and numerous other relatives. Visitation for Mr. Maherg will be Wednesday, May 4, 2016 from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. at Radney Funeral Home in Saraland. Services will be held on Thursday, May 5, 2016 at 10 a.m. in the Radney Funeral Home Chapel in Saraland. Interment will follow in Turnerville Cemetery.
