Kenneth Eugene Stewart – 89 year old native of River Falls, Alabama and longtime resident of Saraland, Alabama, passed away Thursday, May 16, 2024. He was preceded in passing by his parents, Walter and Pearlie Stewart; as well as his son, Steve Stewart. Kenneth leaves behind his wife of 67 years, Bobbie Sue Stewart; a son, Robert Stewart; grandson, Michael Stewart; and a beloved canine companion, Buck.
Kenneth was a veteran of the United States Army. He retired from L&N/CSX Railroad as a conductor after 37 years of service. Following retirement, he owned and operated Sharp-All in Saraland for 30 years.
Kenneth was a member of Shelton Beach Road Baptist Church. In his years of retirement, he enjoyed spending time in their home in Bear Point where he enjoyed boating and spending quality time with his family. Kenneth was also a lifelong Alabama Fan and always looked forward to traveling to attend games when he was able to. He will be dearly missed for his wonderful personality and the willingness to always fix anything that he could for the ones that he loved.
Funeral Service will be held from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home in Saraland on Tuesday, May 21, 2024 at 11a.m. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10a.m. until the service hour.
