Larry Gene Kiper

Larry Gene Kiper – a 73 year-old native of Saraland, Alabama and longtime resident of Eight Mile, Alabama passed away at his home on Saturday, July 19, 2025. A 40 year electrician, he began his career with the IBEW Local 505 and retired from Bagby and Russell. He enjoyed fishing and was a former little league baseball coach. Above all else, he loved his family.

Mr. Kiper was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Betty Kiper; brothers, Kenny Kiper, Sonny Kiper, and Mike Kiper; great-grandson, Gunner Levi Parker; and nephew, Kenny Kiper.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 41 years, Jackie Kiper; children, Jessica Davis (Brian), Misty Bookout, and Kip Kiper (Holly); grandchildren, Austin Warren, Abby Parker (Josh), Tyler Bookout, Collin Davis, and Kaitlyn Bookout; great-granddaughter, Sadie Wren Parker; as well as a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home in Saraland on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at 11 a.m. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the service hour. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
