

Lucy Jeanette Pike – a 90 year-old native of Coffeeville, AL and resident of Mobile passed away July 7, 2012. Mrs. Pike was a longtime member of Myers Memorial Baptist Church. She was a homemaker, but enjoyed doing income tax returns for her friends and family. She enjoyed growing flowers, canning, and dancing. Mrs. Pike was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Robert E. Pike; parents, Mac Robinson and Audrey Rainey; and siblings, Lionel Robinson, Jaurine Clark, Gatha Ray Robinson, Franky Trezza, and Martha LaFranco. She is survived by her children, Julian Pike and Amy Bryant (Grady); three siblings, Maggie Turner, Twillie Robinson (Dorothy), and Bessie Alma Marshall (Buddy); grandchildren, Gus Bryant and Jack Bryant; good friend and neighbor, Joan McLaughlin; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. The family would like to offer a heartfelt thanks to the staff of Covenant Hospice and her caretakers, Susan Davis, and Dorothy Robinson, for all of their compassionate care and support. Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home in Saraland on Wednesday, July 11, 2012, at 10 a.m. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, July 10, from 5-8 p.m. Interment will be in Valhalla Memorial Gardens.
