Margaret Beatrice Mozingo Perkins, age 93, of Chickasaw, Alabama, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday August 18th at the age of 93. She is preceded in death by her husband Maurice Perkins, daughter Bettye Thomas, daughter-in law Anna Perkins, and her grandson Michael Perkins.
Known to all that knew her as Granny Bea, she was a faithful member of Wilson Avenue Baptist Church for 70 years. After raising 3 children of her own, Bettye Thomas, Buddy Perkins, and David Perkins, she looked after numerous babies during her 30 plus years at Tiny Tykes daycare. She was a loving grandmother to her 4 grandchildren, Ashley, Julie ,Brooke and Micheal. As well as to her sister Mary and 3 great grandchildren, Alexis, Taylor, and Lana. She was also eternally grateful and loved her caregiver Jody Brannon, as well as numerous cousins and friends.
A visitation for Margaret will be held Wednesday, August 21, 2019 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Wilson Ave Baptist Church, 125 WIlson Ave, Saraland, AL 36571. Funeral service will be Thursday, August 22, 2019 at 11:00 AM, 125 Wilson Ave, Saraland, AL 36571. Burial will follow at Pine Crest Cemetery, 1939 Dauphin Island Parkway, Mobile, AL.
