Mark Ledrew Busby, 62, passed away December 25, 2022, in Mobile, Alabama. He was born February 12, 1960, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Mark retired from the Mobile County Sheriff’s Department as a Corrections Sergeant. He loved being with his family, being outside in his garden, and he also loved being with his two Australian Shepherds and he loved his Alabama Football. Mark will be remembered for his love for the word. He would read his bible daily and would spend hours praying with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Mark was preceded in passing by his mother; Margaret Busby, his maternal grandparents: Buren and Mary Highsmith, and his paternal grandparents: Thomas and Wilba Busby.
Left to cherish Mark’s wonderful memories are his beloved wife of thirty-seven years; Sharon Busby, his father; Norval Ladrew Busby, three children: Adam Busby (Sarah), David Busby, Matthew Busby, one sister-in-law; Patty Fitzgerald (John), one brother-in-law; Dewayne Dikes, one niece; Bailey Fitzgerald, one nephew; Blake Fitzgerald (Annie), along with extended family members and numerous wonderful friends.
We would love to thank the doctors, nurses, and physical therapist who took care of Mark. We would like to thank all of our family and friends who have kept Mark and I in their prayers.
The family will be receiving guests for visitation on Friday, December 30, 2022, from 10:00 AM until time of service at 11:00 AM, at Shelton Beach Road Baptist Church, 401 Shelton Beach Road, Saraland, Alabama, 36571, with Dr. Gary Shockley officiating.
Interment will immediately follow on the grounds of Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 10000 Celeste Road, Saraland, Alabama, 36571.
