Mary Ella Duke - A native of Montgomery, AL and resident of Saraland, AL passed away Tuesday, January 25, 2011 in a local hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas M. Duke and brother, Melvin "Buddy" McConnell. Survivors include one son, Michael D. (Deborah) Duke; two sisters, Dorothy Oberon McConnell and Derion Rowell; one grandson, Thomas Duke; two granddaughters, Tanya Duke Allen (Chad) and Jeanifer Rowell; four great-grandsons, Tyler Allen (Emily Huff), Trent Allen, Trace Allen and Bryce Rowell. Funeral services will be held Friday, January 28, 2011, at 10:00 a.m. from Shelton Beach Road Baptist Church. The family will receive friends beginning at 9:00 a.m. prior to services. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
