On Sunday night, March 3, 2024 Mary Griffin Littleton, 91, of Axis entered into her Heavenly home. Mary loved the Lord and served Him faithfully all of her life.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents Griffin and Zoie Sullivan, her husband Maurice, an infant son, her sister Ina Ruth Breland, and two nephews Jimmy and Frank Breland.
Mary is survived by her precious daughter Donna Jo Littleton, two nephews Kenneth (April) Breland, John Breland, grand nieces, grandnephews, great grand nephews, her church, and neighborhood families, and many friends.
Mary was a loving mother, aunt, and friend. She was a wonderful cook, talented seamstress, and had a natural ability for gardening. Mary also had a servant’s heart, and was quick to help someone in need. She was a member of Axis Baptist Church for over 50 years and served as secretary for several years. She volunteered at the Cleveland House for special needs adults for many years.
Mary was loved by many and will be deeply missed. Special Thanks to Mary’s family and friends who made sure she was not alone day or night during her last days. The family would also like to thank, The Retreat, for their great care.
Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home in Saraland on Friday, March 8, 2024, at 2 p.m. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 1 p.m. until the service hour. Interment will be in Creola Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Mulherin Custodial Home, Cleveland House, or Axis Baptist Church.
