Mary Ruth Vance Thomas Williams

Mary Ruth Vance Williams – longtime resident of Saraland, born November 18, 1927 in Jasper, AL, went to be with the Lord August 8, 2012. She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Vilas and Hazel Thomas; and her daughter, Ramona Vance. She is survived by her husband of 26 years, Billy Paul Williams; two sons, David (Frances) Vance of Chattanooga, TN, and Steve (Glenda) Vance of Saraland, AL; three daughters, Monte (Bruce) Tarman of Baldwin, MO, B.J. (Craig) Jones of Spanish Fort, AL, and Julie (Glen) Zeamer of Jasper, GA; two step-sons, Vincent Williams and Michael Williams; one brother, Billy Frank (Geneva) Thomas of Biloxi, MS; two sisters, Margaret (Payton) Smyly of Foley, AL, and Brenda Jones of Saraland, AL; sixteen grandchildren and twenty-seven great grandchildren. She was a faithful member of Calvary Temple Assembly of God Church, Saraland, AL. She lived a dedicated life to her Savior, Jesus Christ. She was a Saint of God all her life. She had wisdom beyond compare and her life before God was a witness to his loving care and tenderness to all his children. She led by example and taught her children the ways of the Lord. She will be sadly missed but will be united in Heaven by those who have gone before her and the ones she left behind. “To God be the Glory.” Funeral services will be Monday, August 13, 2012, at 10 a.m. from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home in Saraland.
