Merle Hill Skipper Welch

She sold Avon for 60 years and loved having family get-togethers and cooking for them. We will miss everything about our mother, mother-in-law, MeMaw and Great MeMaw. Even though you are not with us anymore, we know you are in the arms of your Heavenly Father. There is no doubt about that. This is not a goodbye, it is a see you later. We love you so much, and you will be greatly missed.

Mrs. Welch was preceded in death by her mother, Mattie Mae Rayborn; father, Claude Jiles Hill; step-mother, Rosa Jane Jones; brothers, Calvin Hill, Buddy Hill, Charlie Hill, Willie Hill and Ronnie Hill; and sister, Annette Hill Hughes.

She is survived by her loving son, Steve Skipper (Toni); grandsons, Travis Skipper and Mark Skipper (Chrissy); great-grandson, Austin; sister, Pearl Hill Horn; brother, Wayne Hill; many other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends at Radney Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. Graveside services and interment will follow in Mobile Memorial Gardens at 2 p.m. Condolences may be offered at www.radneyfuneralhome-saraland.com.
