Michael Donald Barker

Michael Donald Barker – loving husband, brother, and uncle, a 53 year-old native of Mobile, Alabama and resident of Theodore passed away on Wednesday, May 24, 2023. Mr. Barker worked in area grocery stores for 22 years, most recently with Rouse’s. A faithful Christian, he was a member of First Baptist Church of Theodore where he served as an usher. He enjoyed raising chickens and was a member of a local unicycle club.

Mr. Barker was preceded in death by his parents, Donald Eugene Barker and Linda Louise Connolly Barker. He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Nancy Ruth Barker; sisters, Victoria Anne Barker Trotter (Martin Dale), Jacqueline Dawn Barker Erdman (Charles), and Deirdre Ellen Barker Brown (Donald); son, Robert J. Currier, Sr. ( Kallie); grandchildren, Christopher Kyle Currier (Madison) and Robert John Currier II; nieces and nephews, Wesley Alan Trawick, Rachel Dianne Trawick Mitchell, Marshall Seth Trotter, Matthew Hunter Trotter, Angela Miranda Ellison Macon, Joshua Phillip Erdman, Taylor Ashleigh Brown Windham, Morgan Elizabeth Brown, and Jacob Wyatt Brown.

Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home in Saraland on Tuesday, May 30, 2023, at 2 p.m. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1 p.m. until the service hour.
