Mildred Edwina Cooper Black

Mildred Edwina Black, of Eight Mile entered into rest Friday, November 27, 2015 at the age of 86. Funeral services will be Monday, November 30, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Chickasaw United Methodist Church. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Rev. Dave Rhodes will officiate. The family will receive friends Monday From 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the Church.

Mrs. Black was preceded in death by her parents, Q.T. Cooper and Mildred Roberta Schmitz Cooper, her husband, Wendell Lee Black, Sr., and her brother, Gary Marshall Cooper.

She is survived by her three children, Gayle B. Cawthon of Eight Mile, Wendell Lee (Tommie) Black, Jr. of Satsuma, and Lynn (John) Kent of Saraland, a sister, Patsy (Jerry) Lewis of Monroe, LA, eight grandchildren, Jennifer (Randy) Jackson, Allison (Jackson) Woodson, Natalie (Brandon) Lloyd, Ivan (Payton) Black, Talaine Lyle, Travis Bass, Madison Bass, and Therena (Steve) Smith, fifteen great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
