Nell loved her family, especially her grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She was kind, caring and found much joy in laughing. Her church family at College Park Baptist was dear to her heart. She was an integral part of its ministries and greatly missed being able to participate during her last few years.
Nell worked as a high school teacher and school counselor in the Monroe county school district and the Mobile County School System. She also worked in real estate sales for several years, and then started operating her own rental property business.
Nell is survived by her beloved son, Joel Saranthus and her precious grandchildren, Olivia, Baylor, and Anna Saranthus and Chloe Keith Dorough. She also leaves behind her beloved brother, Joseph (Elayne) Nall, sister, Virginia “Ginny” Harvey (Charles), and sister-in-law, Diane Saranthus, and many other extended family members and friends.
Visitation will be held at 10am, Wednesday, March 5, 2025 at College Park Baptist Church, followed by a funeral service at 11am. Interment service will be held at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Saraland, Alabama.
