Nellie Ruth Grace

Nellie Stewart Grace – a 91 year-old native of Dixie, Alabama and longtime resident of Saraland passed away Sunday, May 28, 2017. A member of the "Greatest Generation", Mrs. Grace worked as a "Rosie the Riveter" at the Mobile shipyards during World War II. She was a longtime member of Saraland Baptist Church. Mrs. Grace was preceded in death by her husband, Henry C. Grace, Sr., and daughter-in-law, Florence Harrison Grace. She is survived by her sons, Henry C. Grace, Jr. (Linda) and George T. Grace, Sr.; five grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one great, great-grandchild; many other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home in Saraland on Friday, June 2, 2017, at 11 a.m. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the service hour. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Saraland Baptist Church, 712 Williams Ave., Saraland, AL 36571.
