Paul was a graduate of Murphy High School class of 1960 and was a graduate of University of South Alabama class of 1974 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Management. Paul became Postmaster of Saraland, AL. on January 15, 1977 and retired in January 2000. Paul served in the United States Air Force 1960-1964 and received an honorable discharge. Paul joined the Lions’ Club in 1977 and had 41 years of Lion service and seemed to love every minute of it. He and his helpers one being Phillip Woods a dear friend had projects they worked on together. Paul was the project Chair for years, work on projects such as: handicap ramps, porches, and poured the cement for the Cleveland House, School benches, and many more projects. but Paul’s health declined he had to stop. Paul won
the Melvin Jones Fellow Award, Lion of the Year and was a life member and held many board positions. Paul was Saraland Citizen of the Year in 1979. Paul was preceded In death by his parents, William M. Logan and Mildred Donour Logan; two brothers Donald P. Logan and Bill R. Logan and one special niece Tara Logan Venable. He is survived by his wife Joy Hardee Logan of 56 years and always introduced her as his first wife; Daughter, Lisa Lanzo (David) and a Son, Paul “Chip” Logan (Anita); Grandchildren, Casey Etheredge (Chris), Michael Lanzo, Trevor Logan, Laura Kelly (Chris), Leslie Hall (Bobby), Kevin Ketchum (Ashlynn); Great Grandchildren Blakely Etheredge, Jacob Kelly, Tanner Hall Ridge and Rider Ketchum, and brother John Russell (Sharon) Logan. Paul has been a Wonderful Husband, Dad and Poppy. He loved going to the Cabin in Jackson Co. MS., fishing sitting on the porch or just being there with his family.
