Pharis Owell Windle, 92, of Axis, Alabama born, July 2, 1932 in Brownsville, Alabama passed away on Sunday, March 9, 2025 at his residence in Mobile, Alabama.

Pharis was a retired Guitar Instructor for over 50 years. He proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was in a band in his earlier years with Faron Young. He played at the Grand Ole Opry and recorded with RCA Records.

Pharis was preceded in death by his parents, George Troy and Lois Kathryn Thrasher Windle, and a sister, Dean Stracner. He is survived by his children, David (Bernadette) Windle, Donna Coleman, Roger (Lonie) Windle and Jeff Windle; grandchildren, Chris Windle, Jeremy Windle, Robert Windle, Jessica Miller and Sydney Windel; other relatives and friends.

A graveside service for Mr. Windle will be held Tuesday, March 18, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Saraland, AL.
