

Mr. Lang devoted his entire adult life to public service. He became involved with the Tillman's Corner Volunteer Fire Department at the age of 16. However, his true passion was law enforcement, and throughout his career served with the Chickasaw Police Department (with which he also served as a Rescue/Recovery Diver), the Saraland Police Department, and was currently employed as an officer with the City of Mobile Police Department. He was a member of Destination Church in Saraland. Mr. Lang will always be remembered as an amazing father and friend who exhibited exceptional compassion toward others.
Mr. Lang was preceded in death by his grandfather, DeBalee Lang, and aunt, Kimberly Lang. He is survived by his son, Aiden Kane Lang; mother, Tricia Lang-Rushing, and her fiancé, Chris Sullivan; brother, Wilson DeBalee Rushing; Grandmother, Joyce Lang; aunt and uncle, Debra and John Nanney; uncle, Clifton D. Lang; second father, Terry Burks; cousins, Ira Brandon Dawson and Bradley Tyler Lang; lifelong friends, Shavella Kelly, Justin Sommer, Donnie Havard, and Jason Williams; girlfriend, Tess Butler; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Mr. Lang will lie in state at Radney Funeral Home in Saraland on Thursday, October 17, 2013, from 5-8 p.m. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, October 18, from 10 a.m. until the 12 p.m. chapel funeral service with Pastor Wayne Sheppard officiating.
