Mr. Robert William Gulley, age 85, passed away on Friday, January 15, 2021. Mr. Gulley is preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Agnes Cook Gulley, son, Dewayne Robert Gulley, brothers, Gilbert and Nathan Gulley and sisters, Marie King and Carolyn Gulley.
Mr. Gulley served his country honorably in the United States Marines. He was employed by Alabama Power as a Lineman. He retired after 40 years. He was a member of Spice Pond Baptist Church. Bobby enjoyed spending time hunting and fishing, camping and working in his yard and was always ready to volunteer to help someone. He loved people, especially his church family, always loved a good joke, good music and Alabama football. He was a dedicated and loving husband and father. He will be greatly missed.
Mr. Gulley leaves behind his loving wife of 63 years, Betty Joyce Gulley and son, David William Gulley. He is also survived by his sister, Mary Lou Bringhurst, nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, January 22, 2021 at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Saraland, AL beginning at 2:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial donations be offered to Spice Pond Baptist Church Building Fund, P. O. Box 2532, Semmes, AL 36575.
