Marshall, Ruby Annette Barnes, age 71, passed away Wednesday, June 1st, 2022. Annette was born to Katie Mae Barnes and Fletcher Earl Barnes on June 20, 1950. She was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Even though a failing heart took her away from this world, her loving heart left a beacon of light for all of us who were blessed enough to know and love her.
Annette graduated from Vigor High School in 1968. She was an active member of College Park Baptist Church. She had been a member of the choir, helped arrange all activities, cleaning, kitchen meals, senior trips, and taking pictures of special moments like their annual pumpkin patch. Annette was also proud member of The Order of the Eastern Star.
Annette was preceded in death by her late husband, Robert Scott Smallwood. Left to cherish Annette's beautiful memories will be her beloved husband, Paul Marshall; five children: Laurinda Cooley, Yvette (Scott) Smallwood-Moore, Kyle (Denisce) Smallwood, Amy Robinson, Laura (Jeremy) McCormick; sister, Sandra Kay Barnes; ten grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; many extended family members and numerous wonderful friends.

A visitation for Annette will be held Monday, June 6, 2022 from 9:00 AM until time of service at 10:00 AM at Radney Funeral Home, 1200 Industrial Pkwy, Saraland, AL 36571. Interment will immediately follow on the grounds of Forest Lawn Memorial Garden, 10000 Celeste Road, Saraland, Alabama 36571.
