

Shirley retired as a dental technician with over 50 years of service, she loved and was very passionate about her profession. She attended Little Flower Elementary School and was a graduate of Bishop Toolen High School for girls, Class of 1973. She loved going to Mardi Gras and being in her Mardi Gras Organization , Neptunes Daughters. She was a member since 2003 and loved her mermaid sisters. She enjoyed working in the her yard, going to Disney and Universal with her family, going to the casino with her husband Jackie, eating crab legs and spending time at her Dauphin Island House. She loved to play bunco with her friends, decorating for the holidays and spending time with her family. Shirley was a loving and adoring wife, mother, grandmother, and soon to be great grandmother to Riley Jordan (Peanut.)
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, Clinton and Arlene Stanton Shows and her biological father, Glen Wiggins; sisters, Starlet Hester (Russell Hester), Mary Joyce Shows and Stephanie Shows.
She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Jackie Lynn Summers of over 45 years; her daughter, Jackie Lynn Summers Coleman (Riley Coleman); grandchildren, Lana Elizabeth Coleman and Anna Grace Coleman all of Semmes, Alabama; a sister, Robin Davis (Anthony Bodenschatz), also, survived by several nieces, nephews and other relatives, family and friends.
Funeral Services will be Monday, September 16, 2024 at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church on Snow Rd. Visitation will be from 10-11 with Mass to begin at 11.
