Vicki was a 1969 graduate of C.F. Vigor High School. She spent 23 years employed with International Paper Company at Brookley Field, where she built many lasting friendships. She later worked in customer service at the Flash Market and Circle K in Saraland, Alabama, where she loved interacting with her customers and coworkers each day.
A proud supporter of Alabama football, Vicki loved cheering on her Crimson Tide. Her favorite time of year was Mardi Gras, where she enjoyed attending the balls and parades. Above all, Vicki’s greatest joy came from her family. She was affectionately known as “Meme” to her grandchildren, whom she loved deeply and supported wholeheartedly—they were truly the light of her life.
Vicki was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Kimberly Etheredge Jones; her parents, Frances Butterworth Harrison and Jene Butterworth; and her siblings, Frankie Bailey and Ralph Butterworth.
Vicki is survived by her daughters Stephania Etheredge (David Henderson) of Saraland, AL, and Brandy (John) Firstbrook of Alabaster, AL; her grandchildren Jayce Etheredge, Victoria Denise Brown, Emily Etheredge, Rebecca Grace Firstbrook, Hannah Henderson, Elijah Firstbrook, and Luke Firstbrook; and her great-grandchildren Ala Etheredge and Harper Gray. She is also survived by her fiancé and best friend, Larry Herndon of Stockton, AL; siblings Debbie (Larry) Etheredge of Satsuma, AL, Connie Jimerson of Chickasaw, AL, Pam Kearley of Saraland, AL, and Ricky (Tina) Butterworth of Satsuma, AL.
Vicki is also lovingly remembered by her bonus daughter Brandi Rodgers and bonus grandchildren Alyssa Williams, Cameron Rodgers, and Nicole Henderson, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
She She will be remembered for her warmth, humor, and the love she poured into everyone she met. Her laughter and kindness will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
Visitation will be held at Radney Funeral Home-Saraland on Wednesday, October 29, 2025 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 30, 2025 beginning at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with interment immediately following in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Saraland, Alabama.
