Mrs. Violet Lois Calhoun born Novemeber 21, 1930, passed away on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at a local hospital. She was a native of Prichard, AL and resident of Eight Mile, AL. She is preceded in death by her husband, Hubert (Cal) Calhoun, parents, Hardy and Hattie Smith, sister, Daisy Garcia and two brothers Alsie and Bud Smith. She is survived by her brother, Roland “R.E.” Smith and sisters, Mary Gurley and Marie Whatley (Milton), nieces, nephews, devoted friend Dottie Woodard and other relatives and friends. Visitation will be Sunday, April 27, 2014 at Radney Funeral Home Saraland from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Graveside services will be held at Baranncas National Cemetery, Pensacola, Fl on Monday, April 28, 2014 at 1:15 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Mobile SPCA.Condolences may be offered at www.radneyfuneralhome-mobile.com.
