Virgie Nell Bryan

Virgie Nell Bryan - resident of Saraland, born September 3, 1918 in Lisman, AL, passed away Monday, December 12, 2011 at the age of 93. She retired from Bemis Bag Mill and was the mother of four military veteran sons. She was kind and loving to all of her family and friends and will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Ella N. Lowery; brothers, Dan, Cecil, Raymond and Clyde Lowery; two sons, William (Billy) Bryan and Terry L. Bryan; grandson, Ralph C. Bryan, Jr.; granddaughter, Sharon Bryan. She is survived by two sons, James "Buddy" (Lorraine) Bryan, Creola, AL and Ralph C. "Pete" (Laura) Bryan, Chunchula, AL; grandchildren, Karen Glover, KY, Christine Bryan, Citronelle, AL, Billy Jo Bryan, IN, Deon Bryan, Saraland, AL, Catherine Reid, Creola, Lee Anne Keen, PA, James F. Bryan, Saraland, Tracy James, Saraland and Terry Lee Bryan, Jr., Gulfcrest; twenty-three great-grandchildren; and ten great-great-grandchildren. Serving as pallbearers will be Deon Bryan, Joshua Bryan, Christopher Reid, Leland Williams, James F. Bryan and Frank James. Graveside services and interment will be Thursday, December 15, 2011, at 2 p.m. in Whistler Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Radney Funeral Home in Saraland Thursday from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. prior to services.
