Walter “Mike” Richardson born on March 14, 1956, a native of Mobile, Al. and a long time resident of Saraland, Al. passed away surrounded by his loving family on October 14, 2021. He was 65 years old. Mike graduated from Northside Christian High School in 1974. He attended trade school in Mobile, graduating in 1976 and went on to become a Master Machinist with 40 years of experience. Mike liked building and flying radio controlled airplanes, watching NASCAR racing while taking a nap or as he would say “snap”. He also enjoyed bass fishing and going on boat rides. Mike was an active member of Bayou Sara Baptist Church. He loved his God and was never ashamed to tell you about the blessings he had experienced throughout his life, often doing so with tears in his eyes. Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Becky Richardson, his brother Ricky Richardson, and Father-in-law Arthur Chadwell. He is survived by his beloved wife of 44 years, Angie Richardson, son, Chad (Robin) Richardson, daughters, Kelly (John) O’Neal, Tiffany (Cam) Callaway, brother Jason (Karman) Richardson, niece Bryce Richardson, nephew Aidan Richardson. 6 grandchildren, Bryant, Gemma, and Georgia Richardson, Landry and Audrey O’Neal, and Natalie Callaway, and Mother-in-law Earline Chadwell. As well as many loved family members and dear friends. A special Thank You to the wonderful and compassionate staff at SAAD Healthcare and hospice retreat. Active pall bearers will be Chad Richardson, Jason Richardson, Aidan Richardson, John O’Neal, Cam Callaway, and James Falkenberry. Honorary pall bearers are Larry Brown, Randy Poole, Buck Stovall, and David Bryant. The service will be officiated by Bro. Dennis Dunn. Visitation will be held at Radney Funeral Home in Saraland, Al. on Tuesday October 19, 2021 from 11:30am to 1:00pm. Funeral service will be held in the chapel of Radney Funeral Home following visitation. A family graveside service will be held at Forrest Lawn Cemetery in Saraland, Al. In lieu of flowers please donate to the Bayou Sara Food Bank and the Bayou Sara Parking Lot Fund.
