Wanda Joyce Johnston Landry, 57, was born October 30, 2021 in Mobile, Alabama to James Everett and Renovia Weaver Johnston. She was called from this Heavenly home on May 29, 2021 in Mobile. Wanda was a skilled bingo player, an avid animal lover and was the greatest at spoiling her children. She will be remembered for the beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and friend she was.
Wanda was preceded in death by her beloved husband; Ellery Landry Sr., one brother; James Keith Johnston, and her father; James Everett Johnston.
Wanda leaves behind to cherish her memories one son; Ellery Landry Jr., one daughter; Jamie Cordova and husband Christopher, her mother; Renovia Johnston, three sisters: Karen Peirce, Belinda Smith and husband Steve, Shelby Lynn Johnston, one brother; Norman Johnston, three granddaughters: Kairi Cordova, Zoey Cordova, Rosalie Landry, along with many extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.
Honoring Wanda as pallbearers will be Ellery Landry, Steve Smith, Damian Pierce, Christopher Cordova and Joe Murphy.
In honor of Wanda Johnston Landry’s life memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
The family would like to express their sincerest gratitude towards Aunt Shelly Murphy, Wanda’s friends: Sherrie (Woods) Chapman and Sherry Lee for the support, care and compassion provided.
Celebration of Life services will be held 11:00 AM, Friday, June 4, 2021 at Radney Funeral Home, Saraland, Alabama with Bro. Eddie Rivers officiating. Interment will follow on the grounds of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church Cemetery, 2009 Firetower Road, Macintosh, Alabama 36553.
The family will be receiving guests for visitation Friday, June 4, 2021 from 10:00 AM until time of service at 11:00 AM at Radney’s.
