

William (Billy) Hays Robison, age 82, was born in Tupelo, MS Sep. 27, 1932 and was a long-time resident of Chickasaw and Saraland, AL, passed away peacefully on March 3, 2015. Mr. Robison is preceded in death by his wife Lois D. Robison, his parents Luther Woodson and Ruth (Brown) Robison, his brother Bud Robison, sister Eva Lois Pettus and nephews Morris Jean and Jerry Pettus. Billy is survived by his wife Jackie Stewart, children; Cyndi Godwin (Brian), Kathy Sherman (John), and Derek Robison (Kristie); grandchildren; Jamie Scarbrough (Paul), Josh Godwin, Jonah Godwin (Brandy), Jonathan Neeley (Jill), Cody Robison, and Tyler Robison; great-grandchildren; Brittney Petrick (Cody), Blake Craft, Jacob, Joelly and Jayla Godwin, Will, Nathan, Caroline and Kathryn Claire Neeley, and August Ellis; great-great-grandchild; Kori Petrick. Billy attended Vigor High School and was the class president of the first graduating class in 1952. He was a High School all-star in Baseball and Basketball and was an active player until the age of 62. He was an inductee in the Mobile Softball Hall of Fame and an active member of “Mobile's Over-the-Hill Ballplayers” group. Billy loved sports his entire life and was an avid Alabama Football and Braves Fan. Billy will be remembered for his faith in Christ, the love for his family, and how he led by example. He will always be loved and missed by his family. A memorial service to celebrate the life of this wonderful man will be held at Radney Funeral Home in Saraland, AL. Visitation begins at 9:30 am followed by Funeral Service at 11 am on Saturday, March 7, 2015. Graveside services will immediately follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
