

Mrs. Willie Mae Allen, 101, of Mobile, entered into rest Friday, April 1, 2016, at her home. The family will receive friends Tuesday, April 5, 2016, from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Radney Funeral Home, Saraland. The funeral service will be held Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. from the Oak Grove Chapel of Radney Funeral Home, Saraland. Interment will follow at Pine Crest Cemetery. Rev. Mike Bedford will officiate.
Mrs. Allen was an Avon sales representative for over 30 years and was a longtime member of the Avon Presidents Club. She received the P. Richard Award for Exemplary Service and served as PTA President for an extended period at Glendale Elementary School in Prichard, AL. Mrs. Allen was extremely active in First Baptist Church of Prichard, which later became College Park Baptist Church, and she was well known for serving her community in various ways. She found much joy and self-fulfillment in gardening, and passed this passion on to her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed traveling with her best friend and late aunt, Ella Guillot. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Sherry Tuttle; and aunts, Dona Crane and Ella (Joseph) Guillot.
Mrs. Allen is survived by her daughter, Judith (William) Saxon of Foley; a sister, Betty Gulley of Saraland; three grandchildren, Amy (Greg) Kendall of Mobile, Holly (Bill) Brett of Gulf Shores, and Ted Saxon of San Francisco, CA; four great-grandchildren, Anna Brett, Saxon Brett, Ellie Kendall, and Mason Kendall; and numerous other family and friends.
