Wilma Jones was born on September 5, 1937, to the late Clifton Dewey Johnson & Mamie Sue Johnson, in Megargel, AL. She was married to the late Aubrey Lee Jones on February 22, 1950. They both lived their lives devoted to the Lord and His service. Their children, David Jones & Sharon Jones, were led by their example to follow the Lord and loved their parents wholeheartedly.
Wilma was a faithful member of First Assembly of Satsuma Alabama, where she served under the leadership of Pastor Steve Norman. She was a generous donor to the following organizations: International Fellowship of Christians and Jews, Christian Appalachia Project & St. Jude Children's Hospital.
In her leisure time, she enjoyed spending time with family, watching her favorite TV western, Gun Smoke, & indulging in her favorite desserts, Butter Pecan ice-cream and coconut cake.
Wilma transitioned into her eternal home on Friday, July 19, 2024. She leaves those to cherish her memory: daughter, Sharon Jones Ray (David Ray); son, David Jones (Sandra Jones); grandchildren, Lesley Ray Head (David Head), Haley Ray Lambert (Jake Lambert) & Austin Jones (Tonya Jones); great grandchildren, Katie Head, Taylor Head, Trent Irvin (Alayah Irvin), Sarah Jones, Jax Jones; and brother, Kenny Roy Johnson. Including a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other dearly loved family members & friends.
Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home in Saraland on Friday, July 26, 2024, at 11 a.m. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the service hour.
